Safety
The energy of the Cobalt60 radioactive source is fixed and therefore easy to control. The energy and intensity of the gamma rays are always stable and thus reliable whilst maintaining strong penetration properties.
The DS-SCAN II system has a range of safety factors including a self-contained shielding system, alarm mechanisms and interlocking safety measures ensuring the safe protection of the operator.
Our objective is to provide our customers with reliable and safe high-tech products. The DS-SCAN II system has been designed considering all international safety standards for this type of equipment.
Strict requirements were imposed during the course of design. The dosage of any point on the surface of the radiation source equipment is less than 10u Sv/h and at points of 5cm from the surface it is less than 1u Sv/h.
Furthermore, dosage at any point in the inspection zone is very close to natural radiation dosage.
